Tiziana Finzi

tiziana-finziTiziana Finzi (b. Trieste Italy) studied Architecture in Venice and History of Cinema in Trieste. Between 1994 and 1998 she worked with Venice Biennale for Venice Film Festival (Programming Office), where she had the opportunity to work in the field of independent cinema, debut feature films and documentaries. She has also worked as a consultant for several international film festivals and institutions, such as Pesaro Film Festival; Taormina Arte Film Festival; Italia Cinema – Italian Film Promotion Agency;  Alpe Adria Cinema – Trieste Film Festival. Due to her experience as film researcher in the domain of independent cinema and to her interest in film experimentation and visual communication, she started working for Locarno Film Festival in 1999, as Chief of Programming of “Cinéastes du présent” and “Compétition Vidéo” and “In Progress” ( Visual Arts Section). In the meantime, since 2000, she held collaborations with some important museums and institutions of contemporary arts. Between 2006 and 2008 , she was Delegate of Artistic Direction, Head of Programming, Member of Selection's Committee of Locarno Film Festival and also Director and programmer of "Play Forward" - the visual arts section in collaboration with the most important contemporary art galleries. Between 2008 and 2010, Finzi worked as Director of Miami International Film Festival.
 

Gaelle Vidalie

gaelle-vidalieGaelle Vidalie (b.1971, Paris) is member of the Selection Committee for the Cannes Film Festival - Directors' Fortnight. Previous to this, she has been Head of International Affairs at the French Cinémathèque, where she worked for 18 years. She also collaborated with Janine Bazin for the Belfort International Film Festival, as well as with Andre S. Labarthe on several films during the 90's.
 

Pavel Jech

pavel-jechPavel Jech is currently dean of FAMU - Czech Film and Television School of Academy of Performing Arts in Prague - and a core tutor in MIDPOINT, a script workshop that unites students from Romania with young filmmakers from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Poland. He has worked on features and shorts as an assistant director, script editor, editing consultant, dramaturg, screenwriter, camera operator, ghostwriter, translator, script doctor, actor and extra, and as a director. His formal film education has taken him from Prague’s FAMU to New York’s Columbia University  and then back to FAMU again, earning degrees at both schools. He has taught and lectured extensively around the world, and has organized international conferences and workshops on screenwriting and has published a manual on writing screenplays for short films.
 

Melissa de Raaf

melissaMelissa de Raaf (b. 1976, The Netherlands) is an independent curator of experimental film programs and exhibitions in the Netherlands, Germany and Russia and she cooperates with visual artists, film and documentary-makers on productions as writer and director. She currently studies art theory, philosophy and media art at the Hochschule für Gestaltung Karlsruhe, Germany. She wrote several scripts (“Shelter”, directed by Dragomir Sholev, “Clean”, directed by Sylvie Michel Cassey). She wrote and directed together with Razvan Radulescu "First of All, Felicia", winner of Cineeuropa Award - Estoril Film Festival 2009 and Best Performance Award and Romanian Days Award for Best Debut Film at Transilvania International Film Festival 2010, selected in Sarajevo Film Festival 2009, Seattle Film Festival 2009, Thessaloniki Film Festival, AFI Fest 2009, Tofifest Torun 2010 etc.
 

Radu Igaszag

radu-igaszagRadu Igaszag (b.1953) is a Romanian visual artist, film director, animator, photographer. He graduated from the Fine Arts Academy of Cluj Napoca and  got an MA in Film Direction at the National University of Drama and Film Bucharest. One of the prominent figures of the 80’s generation, his work (18 short and 1 feature animation  and 7 documentary and experimental shorts) spans almost 20 years of innovative explorations - of both content/concept and techniques-in the area of animation and experimental film, pushing the boundaries between animation, fiction, documentary and docu-drama. Winner of 11 UCIN Award ( Romanian Filmmakers Guild Awards), he gained international recognition beginning with his film “Family Photos”, which was awarded the 2nd Prize at the prestigious Hiroshima International Animation Film Festival 1984, Certificate of Merit- Chicago International Film Festival, Award for Best Animation Film - Romanian Filmmakers' Guild etc. “Picnic muzical” (1989) brought him the Bronze Award at Cairo International Film Festival 1990 and the Award for Best Animation Film, Romanian Filmmakers' Guild. In 1988 he received the Prize of the Romanian Artists' Guild for Graphics. His visual art work has been exhibited nationally and internationally: 1994: International Biennale, Sao Paulo/ 1993: Print Biennale, Ljubliana/ 1990: Small Format Exhibition at De Bello Gallery, Toronto /1987 etc. Since 1995, Radu Igaszag has a remarkable pedagogical activity, teaching at the National University of Drama and Film Bucharest - Multimedia Department and at the National Art University - Photo/Video Department.
